Two suspected kidnappers were burnt beyond recognition at Bristow roundabout in Gboko area of Benue state today July 17th. The men were reportedly on the verge of kidnapping a woman when they were apprehended and the jungle justice was meted on them by a mob. Fatal accident along Lagos-Ibadan expressway leaves driver, passengers burnt beyond recognition A driver and many of his passengers were burnt beyond recognition in a fatal accident along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway this afternoon. Eyewitnesses say the bus driver was picking passengers on the expressway and upon sighting members of the National Union Of Road Transport Workers Task Force, he sped off and ran into a ditch. The bus somersaulted and burst into flames. The bus driver and most of the passengers died in the ensuing fire. Two passengers escaped with major burns. YABATECH expels 73 for forgery The Academic Board of Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, has expelled 73 students for presenting suspected forged results. A statement by the college made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday said the affected students were part-time pursuing National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes. Signed by the Deputy Registrar, Mrs Titilayo Obadimu, the statement said the affected students registered for the 2013/2014 academic session. According to the statement, the results were discovered during the verification of Senior Secondary School certificates and National Diploma results.
