Police Parade Inter-Border Robbers In Ibadan

CheckpointsThe Oyo State Police Command has warned members of the public to be more vigilant while boarding public vehicles so as not to fall prey to kidnappers who disguise as cab drivers within the metropolis.
The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Katsina, who made this known at a press parade in Ibadan disclosed that some taxi drivers now pretend to be cab drivers and kidnap unsuspecting passengers in the process.
Mr Katsina added that some gang of armed robbers were caught while disguising as bridal convoy after snatching exotic cars at gun point.
The Police boss added that some fake soldiers and Police who have been terrorising Oyo and Ogbomosho environs were also caught after a tip off.
Parading various sets of criminal at the State Headquarters in Eleyele, the Commissioner of Police told the press  that despite the fact that criminals are getting smarter by the day, the command has devised means of catching them in the act, no matter how sophisticated.
The Commissioner said that he would remain undaunted in his quest to achieve a sane society where residents are free to move and conduct their businesses without fear.
The Command further enjoined members of the public to feel free to provide information on any unusual movement or conduct in their environment even as it urges better community policing strategies among residents.

A missing Pennsylvania student has been found dead in  Bermuda , local police said in a press conference Monday. Mark Dombroski, 19, was last seen early Sunday morning at a bar, a representative from Bermuda Police Services said. STUDENT UNION VOWS TO PROTEST...

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has vowed to stage a nationwide protest next week following the increase in petroleum pump price and removal of oil subsidy. NANS President, Tijani Shehu, told newsmen that their organization is already mobilizing Nigerian students to resist the new N145 per litre pump price of petrol.
