Missing Indonesian plane found crashed in Oktabe district of Papua region

The Indonesian domestic flight carrying 54 passengers and crew that went missing this afternoon has been found crashed in a mountain in Oktabe district in Papua region in Eastern Indonesia.

According to Indonesia's transport ministry's director-general of air transportation, Suprasetyo, some villagers in the region found the crashed plane and alerted rescue officials.

"The plane has been found by villagers. According to residents, the flight had crashed into a mountain. Verification is still in process," an official said.... more to follow

Donald Trump Adds Virgin Islands Delegates

Donald Trump has added eight delegates from the U.S. Virgin Islands, pulling him within 68 delegates of clinching the Republican nomination for president. John Canegata is a Trump delegate. He is also chairman of the US territory's Republican Party. Canegata says eight of the territory's nine delegates have pledged to support Trump. The last one is uncommitted. There is a dispute over which Republican delegates from the Virgin Islands will be sent to the national convention. Six delegates elected at the territorial convention in March were disqualified. If the disqualified delegates press their case, the matter could ultimately be decided by the credentials committee at the national convention. Trump now has 1 169 delegates. It takes 1 237 to win the GOP nomination

Railway line rehabilitated with N1.6bn overgrown with bush The Federal Government’s newly rehabilitated rail loop lines linking various oil tank farms at Apapa, Lagos have been overtaken by thick bush, eight months after rehabilitation, Financial Vanguard investigation has revealed. The project which was handled by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC, has remained unused after it was completed. The rail to tank farm project which involved laying of tracks into the farm yards, so that petroleum products can be hauled directly into rail tank wagons was completed in December, 2014 and cost the Federal Government N1.6 billion. The tracks were upgraded from 60 to 85 pounds in order for the tracks to be able to withstand the expected increase in weight that will result from direct haulage of petroleum products by rail.
