HOW TO BUILD YOUR POLITICAL EMPIRE

Politics have become a gold mine in Nigeria today. Once you're into any political office, be it a commissioner or a local government chairman, you should be seeing enough money to keep you very comfortable. 

Be that as ut may, political career takes time to build and more especially, the right connection and network of people. 

Starting your political career in Nigeria will require you to have passion and be interested in all the political activities in you community.

Nowadays, not only the big boys do politics, ladies and women have also taken the stage in political offices. So don't worry about your gender, the political offices is for both gender. But you will have to earn it by struggle.

In this article, I will widen your knowledge on how you can become a successful politician in Nigeria and also make you wards successful through the same field.

Start Early

To play the game of politics, you will need the experience you've gotten from secondary schools to university. Vye for a post while you're in the university. This will open some doors for you, as you will have the capacity to meet some political men around the country with your office. Thereby creating the necessary connection for the future. 

You should make a plan for yourself, where you want to end up in future and how you're going to achieve that dream. This will help you keep on to the course.
While you're not in any political office in your university days, make sure you follow up those carrying on the struggle to some prominent men in the society, because these are the people that will remember you when the time reach.

Be among the happening events

During political rallies, join a party and make yourself known. More importantly, make yourself known to your community people, this is very essential. When your community is having an event, always come and showoff and make impacts. Let people know that you exist and once your name start trending, that's how you will be seen as an upcoming politician in the community.

Join a political party at a young age, let them get you involved in the campaign processes.

Get a Godfather

While coming up as a future politician, look out for a prominent man in your community and make him your mentor. Let him lead you into politics and guilds you on how to become successful. Your mentor can also refer you to some other prominent men who will pave way for you to emerge a winner if you run for any office in future.

Become useful

In any political party you're in, make yourself relevant to the party. Help the party solve problems and analyze for them issues on how to win the people over in the campaign. 
Becoming a successful politician requires a lot of sacrifice, so you may have to be a servant for some time to the big lords before you can get an opportunity to contest or appointed into any political office. 

Be Passionate

Being a politician also requires you become smart and technical about the happenings. You should put all your mind in succeeding as a politician in Nigeria. Read newspapers and articles in politics. 
You will also need financial capacity to succeed in Nigeria politics in addition to what your party will give you during your campaign. 
Don't loose interest at any point in time, always be committed to the course of winning with your party no matter the circumstances.
Get the masses to love you, you can help in the development of your community such as opening schools or building roads. 
Some days, you can on your own, share food items to the less privileged in your community. This shows how kind you're and makes you known to the voters.
Start on time to campaign and meet prominent people about your desire to run for a particular office, slowly steady wins the race. Meet the elders, the youths and the women organizations, these are the people that will vote for you and get their families and friend to do same.

DEGREES NOT RECOGNISED?

Maryam Abacha university degrees not recognised – NUC The National Universities Commission has warned that degrees obtained from Maryam Abacha American University of Niger Republic (MAAUN) are sub-standard and will not be accepted in Nigeria, saying henceforth such certificates would not be recognised as a means of seeking employment or doing other legitimate business in Nigeria. The NUC Director of Information and Public Relations, Malam Ibrahim Yakasai, handed down the warning while briefing newsmen on Thursday in Abuja. According to him, NUC has been inundated with inquiries from some Nigerian students who have been offered admission in MAAUN on part time with a graduation time of four semesters. He listed some of the programmes as Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, among others.
